Come and support Eel River Bar First Nation member Cody Caplin in his constitutional challenge for Mi’kmaq Aboriginal and treaty rights. Cody is being charged for exercising his Aboriginal right to fish for lobsters in his own territory without the approval of the DFO.
Join Cody and supporters at the Campbellton courthouse at 9am on Thursday Jan 18th, and then come to a meeting at the ERB Church in Eel River Bar First Nation at 7pm to hear from former National Chief Del Riley and other speakers to learn more about the issues and how you can support Cody. There will be $1000 in door prizes given out at the meeting.
Court may continue on Friday, January 19th as well.
